Energy United Foundation Partners with UIS Men’s Basketball to Support Laketown Elementary Students
Energy United Foundation is excited to partner with the University of Illinois Springfield men’s basketball team to provide Laketown Elementary School students with access to basketball training during physical education classes.
Through this partnership, UIS men’s basketball players and staff will lead engaging sessions that introduce students to basketball skills, teamwork, discipline, and physical activity.
We sincerely thank Head Coach Matt Brock, his players, and staff for their dedication to giving back to the Springfield community. We also thank Laketown Elementary physical education teacher Mr. Fafoglia for welcoming the team and allowing the players to lead these sessions.
Energy United Foundation hopes this experience encourages the students to remain active, enjoy the game of basketball, and continue building a relationship with UIS men’s basketball. We invite the students and their families and friends to support the Prairie Stars by attending home games throughout the season.
